The love life of the actor's Not Another Teen Movie has captivated viewers since his high-profile relationship with Jessica Biel. The former couple started dating in 2001, and worked alongside each other during their relationship in two films, London and Cellular. The 7th Heaven alum had high expectations for their future together, though they called it quits in 2006.

"We always talk about [wedding]. We both want to get married and we both want children, "Biel told Cosmopolitan a year before the split between her and Evans. Following nearly five years together she finally tied the knot to Justin Timberlake in 2012. 

The Marvel franchise star briefly dated up-and-coming actresses like Minka Kelly and Dianna Agron after his breakup with Biel — and was even linked to superstar Sandra Bullock in the wake of her 2010 divorce. He was not in another long-term relationship until in 2016 he fell for Jenny Slate, a Gifted costar. In February 2017 they called it quits but still had a huge amount of love in their hearts for each other.

"He's really vulnerable and he's very straightforward," Slate told her ex one month after their split to Vulture. "He's like first colours. He 's got stunning, huge, powerful emotions and he's confident about them. Getting around is just marvellous. Probably his heart is golden in colour, if you could paint it. 

The duo made a second attempt at their romance, but ended things in March 2018 for good. Despite his fight to find a lasting love, Evans is hopeful that in the near future he will have a family of his own. 

"Of course I want kids. I want a child, certainly. Yet, after his break from Slate, you can't bring the cart before the horse, "he told USA Today. "The family only works if the extension of the affection that you have for a person is built upon. If you want the child more than you want the relationship all of a sudden, you may be on shaky ground.'

An insider has revealed to Us since his most recent breakup that the Knives Out star has been "dating and having fun with different women," but wants to be "more private with his love life."
